Beacon Of Light Poem by Will V

The night was dark and the winds blew hard
The storm came over and I was lost
The more I walked the deeper I fell
Into an abyss, in which I would not prevail

Then out of nowhere I saw a light
It started dim and then it grew bright
I was confused, but then I could see
The path I walked on, before the abyss

It was her, the girl from my dreams
The one that gave me hope and wanted me to live
As she got close I can clearly see
The most astonishing eyes I have ever seen
She smile at me and grab my hand
She pulled me right out of that negative stance

I finally kept walking with her by my side
My heart was no longer, broken in half
We looked far ahead at the endless path
Happy to know an abyss will never again tear us apart
