Beach Poem by William Waterway

Beach

the sun! the sun!
gusts to 40
heart flutters
a gift
of beach
clothes in layers
weather
footwear
terrain
life change
splash of ions
kiss of sea
hardens bone
shifting crystals
head buried – dark
wing’s last flight
swings with wind
hinged to home
no longer here
soaring over sea
with keen eye
I spy
eternity
