Be Your True Self Poem by Fatma Maleta

Be Your True Self

Rating: 5.0

Put on a smile darling,
And it will all be fine,
Raise your head high,
And be your true self.
Let them speak,
Let them laugh,
But you don't have to pretend,
If you are being yourself.

Do you think you haven't tried,
No, you have and that we allknow,
Well it's lies they say
Some might be true but that doesn't make it okay
They talk so as to pull you back,
They laugh to make you cry
But that's not okay
So despite it all,
Just be your true self
Being perfect is a lot harder than being imperfect,
Imperfect sometimes is unique,
Cause it's not everyday we get to be so

So hey don't cry
Just because you have tried,
In fact don't you feel proud?
It's all your struggles that matter,
So if you believe, nothing is impossible,
Cause even the world itself says I'm possible
And be yourself
Perfect is so difficult
It's those who are truthful
That achieve the greatest joys of life

No one is perfect in this world, hence, it is said that to err is human and forgive divine. Thus, committing mistakes is not a great fault but correcting measures adopted thereafter matters a lot. Thanks for sharing.
