Be with those who help your being.
Don't sit with indifferent people, whose breath
comes cold out of their mouths.
Not these visible forms, your work is deeper.

Is it selfish to follow this advice and only grace your presence to those who help you? Maybe instead we should try to help others find their being and find our own that way. Maybe instead of taking we should only give. I regret that this poem doesn't have a semblance of a rhyme, but the words are clear and thought provoking. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
