Be Still Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Be Still

Rating: 5.0

“What can we say what can we do?
What brings us peace of mind?
When sin has clouded up our view
And left us walking blind

Can no one hear can no one see?
Does no one ever care?
Can someone come to set me free?
Can someone say a prayer”?

“Be still a while let wisdom speak
Look deep within your soul
What is the aim in life you seek?
Let truth reveal your goal

Consider what your heart would tell
Concerning lives of shame
Consider those condemned to hell
And who it is to blame

Consider Heaven’s way above
Consider God’s command
Consider Jesus’ death for love
And try to understand

From selfishness we seldom stray
Although the truth’s quite plain
Considering we know the way
Yet live this life in vain

We’re searching down life’s wayward roads
Seeking to turn life’s tide
Still burdened by our sinful loads
Whilst help we’ve cast aside

Though love and help is ever near
As is the hand of peace
Yet full of dread we walk in fear
Still finding no release”

release or freedom from fear is what our innermost layer is made off...alot of peeling needs to be done...on the contra we go on heaping...another lovely soul searcher
