Battlefield Poem by Michelle Wooldridge

Battlefield

I'm tired of fighting
Love isn't fighting
Your suppose to get along
We don't even talk
How do you share a love with someone without talking?
That's not love
Our love is a battlefield
I'm getting out of this war
It isn't my battle to fight anymore
I'm dropping the bomb on our love
We don't share our love anymore
It's been gone for awhile
I can't keep living a lie
I'm done
I'm sorry
I'm walking off of the battlefield
The war is over
