Barns, Cows And Red Dirt Roads Poem by Marilyn Lott

Barns, Cows And Red Dirt Roads

It’s a world apart from others
The country life that I live
Can’t think of another place
That has any more to give

So peaceful in my country world
As I travel my red dirt roads
Old barns in fields of wonder
In the center of nature’s folds

I enjoy so much the cows
In their own quiet personal way
Grazing peacefully in their fields
Pretty much the same each day

Nothing seems to excite them
And that’s the best way to be
They’re happy in their fences
Or in open range so totally free

It’s the greatest way for me
For this is the ideal mode
I don’t need another thing but
Barns, cows and Red Dirt Roads!
