Barn Havens Poem by Marilyn Lott

Barn Havens

When I think about a barn
Many things will come to mind
But did you know that every barn
Is really one of a kind?

They are a haven for animals
A high loft full of fragrant hay
A dry place in which to shelter
Many animals that choose to stay

And you’d think that all barns
Would be pretty much the same
But, no, that’s just not true
For some reach barn hall of fame

So here, my friends are examples
Of unique barns across the country
Compiled in a wonderful calendar
For each one of us to see

Just as homes are different
So too are these wonderful barns
The color and style so creative
And exude such delightful charm

We can enjoy one every month
It’s a calendar I would be saving
As they all are a true delight
This collection of barn havens!
