Banker's Lament Poem by Leaking Pen

Banker's Lament

Rating: 5.0

No late fees
No accrued interests
No redemption penalties
For you opting out
I will gladly drop all late charges
To win you back.
I'm a greedy banker
Thought I could compound interest
And grow richer without you?
But my heart went bankrupt!
The moment you closed your account
I've done what no other banker dared to do:
Ransacked every single safe deposit box,
Anchored deep within my heart's vault
From all faceted gemstones:
Red and pink diamonds, blue garnets,
And the one dearest to Mankind
A priceless Jadeite
Threw them all away.
I could not bare the thought,
That these beauties...
Should deserve better safe keeping
Than you my Dearest of all
My one true heart's treasure!
And measure for measure,
No gemstones rarity
From Clarity, Color, Cut and Carat weight,
Can give me back...
Unconditional love and happiness,
I received from you and above all
Sanity in a world of mine gone mad,
From lacking your heart of kindness
And a state of peaceful serenity.
