Ballad Of Tho Oca Trail Poem by timothy young

Ballad Of Tho Oca Trail

I once did go and I did roam
Across hills and the land
Of Westchester I went and thought to go
Along the river sand

Of the Hudson river I went and
I Roam around on my bike
I went and road and road up the trail way
And go where I did like

Ohh the places that I did see along the way
As I did go and ride
I went all the way and then I road on back
Along back to the other side

I stared in croton town heading for city line
I left the car and I did go
And left my woes behind I thought
I hope it does not snow

Or rain I though It is all clear
for smooth riding I do like
I hope for clear weather indeed
Because the trail will stop my Trike

You see it is dirt and not paved
I did have to push and dragged
Deep in the mud well I will get stuck
Well plans can be snagged

But alas the day that I did go was clear
The sky was clear and blue
But I was riding t’wards New York town
Just to get back home to you
