Back To The Essentials Poem by Natalia Bakina

Back To The Essentials

You are so true – no truer are the trees
That sacrifice when kindle fire,
And shelter all that is beneath
With their blossoming attire,
And send their leaves, when ill winds blow,
To death without a remorse,
And strive to live when their roots go
Destroying rocks by a dashing force...

You are so true – no truer are the stars
That doom the spaces they behold,
And watch the globe of burning Mars,
And light the bolts of blazing gold...

You are so true... The moon that casts
Frustrating gaze into the night - no truer
When it sees the blades of cliffs turn dust
In piercing oceans growing bluer...

You are so true – the seas are no truer
When their tides allure or dismay,
When they unfold horizons, vastly pure,
And then can lead carvels astray...

You are so true – no truer is the night
Bestowing on us the darkness to recover
From dazzling shrieks of poses, all upright,
And to retreat into illusive dreams of lovers...

You are so true – essentials are no truer -
Borders to cross and rounds to endure,
Circles to end and pyramids to bury,
Roads to transmit and lots to carry,
Prisms to refract and spheres to aspire,
You are so true... and this is always prior...
