Baby Brother Poem by Dhriti Chakraborty

Baby Brother

When you laugh,
It’s the laughter of a child,
But when I’m weak,
You’re big and strong for me.

When you talk,
I think about the time,
When I waited for you,
To learn how to speak to me.

Look how time passes,
Baby brother of mine,
Look how tall you’ve grown.
Of all the brothers in the entire world
I’m glad to call you my own.

You’re the first one
I want to tell
When something good
Happens to me,

When I’m upset,
And can’t stand the world,
You’re the one who
Comforts me

Look how time passes,
Baby brother of mine,
Look how tall you’ve grown.
Of all the brothers in the entire world
I’m glad to call you my own.

In this journey called life,
You’re my permanent friend,
I know that you will be my strength
Up until the very end.

Look how time passes,
Baby brother of mine,
Look how tall you’ve grown.
Of all the brothers in the entire world
I’m glad to call you my own.
