B Ball Back Board Poem by Ima Ryma

B Ball Back Board

When basketball became a game,
A peach basket was for the ball.
Spectators would divert the aim,
And so began the backings all.
Chicken wire back was the first used,
But becuz 'twas easily bent,
Spectators behind still abused.
So wood went back as a prevent.
Spectators groused they could not see,
So see throughs seen in varied form.
Sometimes the shatterings do be,
But see through backboard now the norm.

Each time a basketball be scored,
To be or not to be backboard.
