Awkward Poem by David Harris

Awkward

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes we find it awkward,
just to say that I love you.
Maybe it is because the words
are used too many times,
and loses the true meaning there,
of what the words really mean.
They are said just to flatter,
no emotion behind them there.
They are said to appease one,
who thinks you strongly care.
However when I say it,
the words come from my heart.
That is why I don’t often say them,
unless I really mean they are true.

Beautiful poem David....I have come to believe, in a most brutal and dignity robbing way, that there are people that have no hearts....thank God they are few and far between...They are like sheep in wolves clothing, you think they're simply the best and boom, you've been crushed and sometimes beyond repair...well machines can be prepared to stop such, but not the heart and soul. One can only hope that the greater majority with love are able to express it as well as you have here. Stay safe David, protect your heart AND what is 'rightfully' yours alone....always, marci.xo [Please P.F. Me.]

How do you express how much you love someone with such a little word, but you know you should still say it, some feelings must be heard...10
