Away You Go Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Away You Go

Silent tears I cry the memory never fades away
Yet I won't forget you in mind
I remember you vaguely
I forget not the times when I myself found peace with you
Without you I feel lost
I need your guidance
But why time has changed
Yet why did it take you away
To the winds you belong
And with me is where I want you to be
But is it true, that you don't always get what you want
All I ever wanted is to be happy
To hold onto you and never let go
Silence fills the room
Only the memory of you makes the most pleasant noise
Only your beautiful soul moves in me
As you watch over me so proudly
Pain comes and goes
Yet it is better to have love then loss
Your memory keeps me at peace until I can open up to love again.
