Awaken Poem by Mariah Kadesh

Awaken

Awake from the slumber,
where most people lie,
they sleep with eyes open,
only half alive.

Darkness surrounds them,
its always night,
awake from the slumber,
come toward the light.

Awake from the slumber,
that lies deep within,
where death and shame creep,
now hide from your sin.

Hungry and tired we disembark,
awake from the slumber,
come out of the dark.

Some people wander,
through the abyss of unknown,
searching for something they couldnt get all alone.

Blindly they crawl,
feeling the ground,
silence is the only sound,
awake from the slumber...
