Awake My Love Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Awake My Love

Rating: 5.0

Awake my love from deepest sleep
And catch the light of breaking dawn,
That's shining through the window clear
With skies aglow a new day born.

Awake my love from sweetest dreams
And let me hear your voice again,
Your hand is cold your heart so warm
Yet still and peaceful spare my pain.

Awake my love lest you forget
Sweet happiness we both do share,
Please don't let go for I am here
So rescue me from my despair.

Awake my love the rose I lay
Of scarlet red upon your breast,
So lift thine eyes and breathe for me
Awake my love my last request.

Words penned from the real Prince Charming, methinks. A superbly romantic expression of longing and melancholy. True love is beautiful - as is this poem. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
