Awake In Sleep



a beautiful rainbow
glowed your aura
a promise of tomorrow
a new plethora
of hope

sharp, poignant hues
surrounding you clearly
red, yellow, purple, green, orange and blues
as i looked on so blearily
from within my dream
hope upon hope
i awoke with a scream
awake in my sleep
i crave only you
