Avp, Superman And An Unknown Citizen Poem by Jyotishman Debnath

Avp, Superman And An Unknown Citizen

some days ago
I have seen a movie
Alien vs Predator
behind the mask of terror
there were some deadly faces
announcing their gory glory
some yet to heal wounds
the rawness
and our crippled beings
whoever wins we lose!

in this round graveyard
we just know
how to sing dirge
we are the pal bearers
of this no man's land

the smoke and quivering souls
sad tune of weeping
swallowing terror within
flowers in the graveyard
are just
some beautiful jokes!

we do nothing
wait and see
but how long
and how far?

some unanswered questions
some white clothed women
how long comes again...

live skeletons are marching
to break another bastile
for what our lullabies became
sad songs?

may be they are right
whoever wins, we lose...

for a long time
I, a common man
searching for Christopher Reevs
someday I may find him
in a luxury hotel of
NewYork city
All I want to say is
'You can't stop all these,
you are not superman'

I feel and get perplexed...!
