Autumn's Child Poem by Marilyn Lott

Autumn's Child

Rating: 5.0

I look out my window and see
Little children in the leaves
Romping like puppies
Arms covered in warm sleeves.

The wind is slightly blowing
And the sun is shining down
Giggles from these precious kids
Smiles on faces replace frowns.

Ah, autumn’s child is happy
As their arms stretched high
Throwing the brilliant leaves
Straight up to the sky.

It’s a delightful time of year
Don’t you find this is true?
As nature does a stunning thing
And gives the autumn child to you!

It is when you absorb the spirit of change in season, you churn out a piece of poetry- so sweet and so adorable. The portrayal of autumn is lively like the children Throwing the brilliant leaves Straight up to the sky and- Giggles from these precious kids Smiles on faces replace frowns.
