Autumn In The Offing Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Autumn In The Offing

Rating: 0.5

Petals on yellow flowers
have fallen from aging blossoms

The bees that once tumbled
in drunken bliss among the flora
in the summer sun
have departed

The gardener who labored
the livelong day
puts away pots
and tools
laments the end
of another
growing season!
