Autumn Approach - Herbstnahen - Nadejście jesieni (Polish Translation)

Night's clouds, arriving,
Carried on horizon
Thought's of nostalgia.

Awaiting days after -
The harvest-wagon, carload
With Childhood, carts homeward.

Near house the father
Saws at the wood yard
Shudder by wind.

Herbstnahen

Nachtwolken kamen,
Brachten vom Bergrand
Gedanken aus Sehnsuchtsleid.

Ausstand an Tagen …
Der Wagen, beladen
Mit Kindheit, fährt heimwärts.

Beim Hause der Vater
Sägt auf dem Holzhof
Im schauernden Abendwind.

Nadejście jesieni
(Polish Translation)

Nadciągnęły nocne chmury
Znad skraju góry przyniosły
Myśli z tęsknego cierpienia.

Strajk za dnia …
Wóz wyładowany
Dzieciństwem jedzie do domu.

Przy domu ojciec
Piłuje na podwórzu drewno
W dygocącym wieczornym wietrze

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
