Autumn Poem by verna ralph

Autumn

Autumn is my favourite season
No bugs, no flies
Clear blue skies
Smell of jelly and pumpkin pies
Big orange pumpkins for Halloween
Jack o, lanterns dancing in the breeze

Leaves falling all around
Reds, golds, yellows and browns
A colorful carpet on the ground
Mother nature doing her thing
Preparing the plants for the spring
Regenerating everything

Bears eating their last meal
Hibernating is drawing near
Squirrells gathering nuts for winter
Scurrying here, scurrying there
Geese flying south in vee formation
Going on a long vacation

Autumn is natures way
Giving time before the freeze
A time for toil
A time for fun
A time for everyone
