Autumn Poem by StaceyLeigh Olner

Autumn

Rating: 4.0

It's now autumn,
Leaves change their colour,
From green to yellow to orange,
To red to brown,
Then they go crispy,
and float to the ground.

The air gets slightly colder,
The floor is covered in leaves,
Each step you take,
You hear crackle,
As the leaves break from under our feet.

The trees are now bare,
No leaves to keep the branches warm,
So all the trees now look the same,
A trunk and branches no leaves thats all.

The scent in the air changes,
As you smell the leaves on the floor,
The wet and the dry leaves,
It such a nice autumn smell,
It reminds you that everything in life changes,
And most things are alive.

I wrote this one as i decided to try and write a poem about Autumn and this is the result.
