Australian Tryptich Poem by Jean Renwick

Australian Tryptich

Grey and gold, of branch and petal
Monoliths russet with algae
Rioting beauty with water’s lack
A scene in the outback, out back.

Rainbow of greens, all odd-shaped shrubs
Birds make seed-pods rattle
Nature’s wonder off the beaten track
A scene in the outback, out back.

Lightglobe ants trek mini deserts
Red dust blows with threat
Mirages veil the white line on black
A scene in the outback, out back.
