Aurora Poem by Baohan Tran Le

Aurora

Aurora, my lady
Been tortured so daily
You conquer, your eyes
Forlorn is what it speaks
So different, so sad

Your beauty
Is undeniable
You’re like a star
Which sparks in the northern sky
Another falling queen

Aurora, I cried
Raped and plunder
Can I ask what’s left of you?
But bones and skin
A tear drop, from your eyes
It will erase the lies

Aurora, we need you
You’re high, you’re mother earth
You gave trees and river birth
But why don’t you
Stay for a while, before you die

Just another moment
Until the danger is over
But you didn’t you go
There is what you get
Wane

Still Aurora
You would be my highness
My majesty, but
One step, you lost
I’ll be grieving for you
