Augustine Thoughts

I read
some Augustine thoughts
tonight
and can only conclude
that life is anything

anything but
thoughts

Though
I thought of nothing
but all the thoughts
that thought of all
the thoughts that
thought

I thought of you
and dreams that
thought of us
and those that
thought of thoughts
and all those
lost

in thoughts
that thought of
thoughts

I thought of you
and us and all
the thoughts

and thought
and thought
of us
tonight

I'd rather call him "Star."
It's very mean of Science
To go and interfere!

I slew a worm the other day—
