Attracton Poem by Kimara Young

Attracton

You bite your bottom lip.
Why do my eyes travel to the sight
Of your lips being held captive
By your teeth?
What are you thinking
To cause such a physical reaction?
Your tongue peaks out
And glides across that plump expanse of skin.
Moistening.
My eyes stare,
Entranced.
As that wet muscle swipes from left to right
And is then hidden once more.
The corner of your mouth lifts.
Just one side though.
The spell is broken in that moment
With my recognition.
A smirk.
I pry my eyes away from those lips
And meet your own.
I am caught once more
Within a trap.
A cage of thick lashes.
I am tortured by your eyes.
Far more than your lips.
Where there sweet softness
Hints at an embrace and draws me in,
Your eyes pull me deeper
With full pictures.
Your pupils widen into a landscape
Of wants and needs,
Desperate and immediate.
It's all to much for me.
My self control snaps like a band
Tightened to it's brink.
My heart speeds,
Mind whirls in panic.
What can I do to break this enchantment?
This teasing must end.
Finish this.
I rush forward and take.
With want and need,
I take.
With desperation,
I take.
And immediately, surrender.
You smile and feel as
I bite your bottom lip.
