Atmosphere Of Peace Poem by Kojo Silas

Atmosphere Of Peace

It used to rain like snow in winter.
It once shine like bright morning sun in summer.
It was like a moon in the white man's land.
The emblem of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
It is called peace.

Gone are the days that our fore fathers lived in peace and were successful.
People slept with doors open, yet still were not harmed.
They used to be each other's keeper.
We were bind together in peace, unity and harmony.
But now we dwell in pieces and agony.

We have driven peace out of our land.
It is gone far in a faraway land.
Where it can no more be found.

Nations have risen against nations.
Wives against husbands. Children wage war against parents.
The Lord Jesus said peace I leave with you but I continue ask this peace rain whiles there are little foxes within?
Lord let peace rain in our land.
Let anarchy and chaos leave our land.
Let broken cordiality be restored.
And let peace rain again.
