Atlantic Tides Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Atlantic Tides

Rating: 5.0

Tethered sea with history and portent
Calm spirit like a weathered angel
Poetry and horror
Life and death
Hawthorne praises Melville
Surprise of second revolutions
Emerson, Thorough
Naturalists and women writers
Visit the quiet demure cemetery
Partially London in civil underground

New England is a strange ghost
Haunted by fall trees
Tears of joy by the coast
Bones like puritan evil
Salem still has memories
Art, intellect and Old Catholic Stones
How I long for a fabled corner
Tucked away into the abolitionists
Gloucester is still mystic
The winds of Mt Washington

Atlantic tides flow in my veins
