Athazagoraphobia Poem by Jennifer Cramer

Athazagoraphobia

Have you ever felt
That pain when you’re alone
That no one cares
As you sit there like a stone

They walk by
And don’t even look
To see the girl
Behind that book

Or to see
She’s crying now
Because they don’t see
How her life’s on a low

The girl goes home
And cries her self to sleep
She put herself through so much pain
But doesn’t make a peep

No one notices
The cuts on her arm
Or any other
Self harm

That she hung herself
But no one knew
She was gone
This was true

People still walk by
And continue their day
With no guilt
As they move on their way
