I’m exposed to the worse type of individuals but endured the best
I’ve seen every malicious act from envy and betrayal
Acknowledge death for what it is and still move forward
My bumps and bruises will all heal
But the moments I endured throughout my life stands still
Everything around me moves at an incredible pace
From the time of my graduation too today as I awake
Am I at peace

Silence all around me I hear nor see anything
My trails and tribulations develop me
Being strong for so long only made me weak physically
Trying to reach out to people only caused heartache
Loyalty was something I never received
Deceit on the other hand was best fitted
I see now I’m my worse enemy
Am I at peace

My loneliest moments were my best times
Not worrying or understanding the person’s problems
The burden of the weight is now lifted off my chest
Now I don’t fill closed off or shielded like the clouds over the moon
I feel like a newly charged star that can shine
Breathe and relax, free your mind, finally I’m at peace.
