At Peace

Most of one's life is filled with worry,
But mine has taken a turn.
I have never felt this joy,
This ease.
Am I finally
At Peace?

What can a person describe as peace?
Is it a time where no stress is felt?
A time where everything makes sense?
A time where our we can be careless.

No.

I am not At Peace.
To be At Peace,
Would mean my death.
If that is true,
Then I am far from Peace.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
