At Last You Are Gone Poem by Nur Meiyati

At Last You Are Gone

At last, like others, you are gone
Just as I have anticipated
I said, I believe in the due time they will quit by themselves
But at least with nice memories
Remember?

I will not look for you or beg you to stay
As I told you many times
I don't want to ruin your life, your future and your dream
Not that you are too young for me, but I am too old for you
You are too sweet, too honest and too pure for me
But I don't want to take benefit from your false feeling

And you know what
A woman at my age are usually interesting for guys at your age.
Experienced, mature, understanding, having self confidence and independent
I tell you most are almost like that
Those qualities are seldom owned by young girls at your age who are never married
But they will have those qualities when they reach my age or even earlier
Do you understand what I mean?

I appreciate your deep feeling of love for me
Your poems written for me are so nice and touching
And I will keep our relationship as a file in the history of my life
I choose to name it 'wonderful moment”
You have been in my heart and will always be, sweetheart
But I want you not to be too far from reality
Now you want to rehab from my glue
If you think it is better for you, I will support whatever you want
Take care, my dear.
