At Christmas Time. Poem by Emma Jane Rae

At Christmas Time.

Rating: 2.7

I'm dreading this christmas,
without you here,
maybe i'll get off my head,
on wine and beer,
bollocks to all that festive spirit,
and good cheer,
i wish you would've thought,
about what you would be missing,
i wish you would've stopped,
and just listened,
remember the day,
you stared at my face,
told me you 'hated me'
you looked at me in disgrace,
what did i do,
to turn you against me?
you don't even realise,
how much you've hurt me!
and it's not just me,
its my brother and dad,
christmas's should be happy,
but this one,
will be sad!

* written just before christmas '08 my first christmas without my mum!
