At A Crossroads Poem by wanda Hardwick

At A Crossroads

Standing here at a crossroads
looking in all directions
which way to go
pondering the obvious
contemplating the obscure
in the distance seeing
images of the past
flash across the sky
a constant reminder
of years gone by
memories that haunt
the caverns of the mind
like an apparition
that's lost in time
wading through
the mud and muck
of life's transitions
with any luck
siblings
will cherish the memories
and adhere
to old family traditions.
