Asylum Poem by Ernesto Torres

Asylum

The laughter fills the halls
along with the bawls
of the cursed to live here
sent here by our peers

Those horrid sounds
that pounds
from every wall
'oh god' i bawled

As the blood curling screams
and blood flooded from wrist in streams
for some poor souls
who have been here since birth
'oh woe! ' i cried

Those who have been here long
are no longer strong
for they are soulless
and god refused to bless

Now all the guard's are dead
from the poison we fed
so there mouths started to bled
they are dead

Cheering and chanting fill
and for a second all are still
until...

All the gates flew open
and we all stormed
to those who are now dead den
for we have formed

A army bound for freedom,
but we know the world won't give us that
so we all grab the cold metal rods
stored in lockers big and fat

All at the same time
wiped of the grime
pointed to our head
planning ahead

to escape from this asylum
