Asleep While Awake
Awake I try to sleep
Asleep I hate to wake
Awake my nightmares never quit
Asleep my sweet dreams always sit
Awake my pain takes its course
Asleep my pain holds its horse
Awake I feel like I am trapped
Asleep I feel as free as rap
Although I always hate to wake
I am awake while asleep.
