Ask The Birds Not To Chirp Poem by Sharad Chandra

Ask The Birds Not To Chirp

Ask the birds not to chirp
the bees to stop buzzing
the trees to stop swaying
their leaves make a harassing noise
by rustling with every gust of wind
stop, stop all speech all talking
let there be no sound no voice
no movement of any kind
in the air or atmosphere
let all be still and quiet
I want to sit in silence
my mother has passed away
I am sad very sad
and want no sign
of life around me.
