Ashes To Ashes Dust To Dust Poem by Silence Dogood

Ashes To Ashes Dust To Dust

Rating: 5.0

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust

I fell in love with a girl.
Who had a broken heart.
Everything was perfect.
'till death do us part.

We got married had kids.
Had a life of our own.
Now my angels grown wings.
And flown back home.

Every tear falls like bullets.
All stained with her name.
A constant memory.
Is all that remains.

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

A hole in my chest.
Bleeds rosy red.
For my one true love.
Now tragically dead.

I'm forgetting things about her.
I once knew by heart.
Every memory fading.
My life falls apart.

My kids grew up at three years old.
And lost a childhood.
I watched my son become a man.
A kid thats gone for good.

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

They learned pain before love.
And hurt before joy.
They cried before they smiled.
My little girl and boy.

We were the picture perfect family.
Filled with happily ever afters.
But now that your gone.
Theres no more laughter.

You said we'd last forever.
And never say goodbye.
You said our love would stay strong.
But you had to go and die

That was awsome. Your writing is very mature and insightful. What a sad story you have told, love the repeating line. T
