Ash Sole Unburned Poem by Frankie Renae

Ash Sole Unburned

So what if I want everything
Expect the past to disappear
And smiles on every single face
I expect bliss and grace
To be there all the time
To stand by and keep me always fine
If I demand more than reality gives
If I want no single pain to live
I'll wish on time and stand waiting
Life gives my way and I'll give to debating
For caluclating's never been my thing
If I expect no hurt, stare down strife
Let quote to defy the laws of life
Then so what, caus I've been there
I've lived and every single tear left
The watermark of a memory
Seen white and if I've seen ebony
And neither became what for I longed
Then dreaming will stay unwronged
If the taste of perfection never leaves my tongue
Quenchless in vein and lung
'Til poprocks and coke are my friendships
His if my will, and sugar my love
Every single yellow light and star to shine
Grant me what they've been requested
And so what if I call nothing less than
Beauty on both sides
The virtues of the book
And the chances that were took
If I want them all returned
If I expect each ash unburned
And wars to cease and heal by rewind
If I see depth in every single mind
'Til perfection cross land, sea, and sky
And creation flip days to rebear pure
If I believe in every single cure
And so what if I can take nothing below
Reject each fall and each blow
Feign lie for their identity
Breathe if and only if serenity
If this is me, and coming together
Is honesty inside, then what
Flaw is it that's spoke of
Are those words and torn their love
Tell my eyes the impossible way
For sole where hope lies, destiny may
