The 'Asona clan',
The 'Aduana clan ',
The 'Asenie clan ',
The 'Ekuona clan ',
The 'Asakyiri clan';
These clans are among the Fantes, Bonos, Akwapins, Kwahus, Wassas, Nzemas and Sefwis; with a common ancestor.

The Asanteman is a homgeneoud society;
And the children from the female members of the clan are the royals.

The 'Oyoko clan',
The 'Adako clan',
The 'Biretuo clan',
The 'Agona clan';
Chiefs of these towns are selected from the male members of the clans; and, 'Asanteman' is with great history! ! However, the 'Asantehene' is the head of the clans.
