As We Want Child Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

As We Want Child

Child's sleep
We take care and keep
Free from grievance
And make her feel happy at once

We wish child to be
Very much free
To be alone on feet
To welcome and greet

Do no disturb
To rub
His nose
And suppose

With our selfish talk
When he starts to walk
To keep any ill thinking
And blinking

Let us bring him up
With we treasure to keep
Same eyes to see
With love and be care free

That shall grant
As we want
Good citizens of to morrow
To mushroom and grow
