As Warning Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Have we become insensible?
Intolerant and indefensible
Immature expression of hate and anger
Leading whole of mankind into zone of danger

We have known only quick goals
But afraid of scaling the walls
We are sure of facing fall from highest peak
Such is the resolve with intensity so weak

We ensure the smooth take over
Either by deception or by false cover
That gives us some kind of false pride
As if to have attained areas of dimension and very wide

Such things are stored in our mind
Heart aches for new areas to find
Take as much as possible by hook or crooks
With the methods not even mentioned in books

What we have hidden so far inside?
Now erupts from earth belt to play havoc very wide
Miles of land go into flames
A natural curse for no one to blame

Can we take it as warning?
As human values are on wane
We have damaged nature as much as possible
Now facing it with danger and lot more troubles
