Given you three years of my life
which all went down the drain
So numbed from the shock, couldn't do a thing
you didn't mean it, you didn't mean to hurt me this way

I cried, I tried and even denied you
and still you've remained on my mind
The part of me just could no longer ignore
that i loved you and it left a scar in my heart

So yesterday, I ran away, you right behind me
Asked if I were okay
In that moment, I broke down, told you everything
I never quite understood what led us here

slowly as time would pass us by we'd become more distant
you've given me hope and I hoped for things to change
Which only made it hard for me to give up
I put up a fight long enough
until the day I no longer had it in me
