As The Years Go By Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

As The Years Go By

Rating: 5.0

One lonely mirror attached to the wall
conceals youthful memories of the past.
It is a reliable and immediate indictator
displaying facial deterioration rather fast.
Everytime I look in the mirror
and notice my reflection,
I see my haggard and wrinkled face
deprived of a young complexion.
My eyes are glassy and sad,
My lips are cracked and dry,
I think of how I once looked,
How quickly the years have gone by!
