As The Sun Sets Poem by Elizabeth Jacqueline Mpanga

As The Sun Sets

I watch the sunset and all the stresses of the day melt away
I feel an untold peace and serenity

All the chaotic thoughts give way to peaceful thoughts
My muscles loosen up and my heart smiles

I let go and I forget
My soul is awakened by the sweet caress of the last rays of the sun

As the sun says goodbye so does my heart to all the anger of the day
My mind and body become one

A beautiful peaceful oneness that makes my soul bask in happiness
