As Symbol Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

As Symbol

Love for queen
So pure and never seen
Such is tale
But love had failed

The artist were tortured
Their hands were severed
That was horrible affair
For love it did not look fair

Still tears drop from roof
You need no proof
Artist had put a hole
The world knows about bitter call

Yes now acid rain
That adds as if queen had pain
At heart to explain
That has permanently remained

Yet Tajmahal* may remain as symbol
For all lovers to call
And pay homage for purity
It stands of its own to show the will of almighty

*Tajmahal.. Architectural monument in India
