As My Eyes Guide Me Poem by Eric Ripley

As My Eyes Guide Me

As my eyes guide me
Through this cold and damp world
I have only one desire
It is a tree of which branches
Off from this one desire
It is true happiness
Without these deaths
Rid me of my sorrow
The ability to keep going
Fades into darkness

As my eyes guide me
Through the wretched wastes of this world
The happiness have disappeared
I long to find the land i need
It has been rid of sorrow
It is a continuous song
A song of dread
A song of regret
The most unfaithful
Unfaithful feeling ever experienced
It betrays you
Just like love
It comes and it goes
Unfortunately

As my eyes guide me
Through the happiness i have found
Something is missing
There is a home
There is a vault
There is no love
As is my life
I am happy
But there is no love
It is the most desired
But most difficult to find
As i search and i search
it is like searching for a child
A child lost in the amazon
It is impossible or very difficult
I have madness
i have bliss
I have the line dividing
i have to choose which
Which to have faith in
Madness will deplete my energy
Bliss will put me to rest
Which shall i choose?
this is the decision i face now

As my eyes guide me.
I shall let my heart guide me now
As my heart guides me
I have found
True happiness.
