As Long As You'Re There Poem by Adegbite Adeyinka

As Long As You'Re There

As long as you are here, night could fall
And its breeze could come in a mighty rush,
Your tender warmth feels like a shelter wall
That nothing could remove me, be a gush;
So long as it is you, my feelings is safe
You shelter my love in your subtle embrace;
As long as you are there, I can always know
That in a heart, there is a home to rest,
And always find me nowhere else to go
But always to you, to perch and nest
